At Blackwater Private Clinic, we’re committed to supporting our community and promoting health awareness. That’s why we were thrilled to sponsor the recent “Play in Pink” golf event at Cairndhu Golf Club, benefiting the Pretty n Pink Breast Cancer Charity.
The annual event, held on August 21st, brought together golf enthusiasts dressed in vibrant pink attire for a day of fun, competition, and charitable giving.
Our very own Dr. Fionnuala Vernon was honored to present the prizes, including a stunning inaugural Blackwater Private Clinic Claret Jug to the winner, Phillipa McShane.
Phillipa is the founder of Lean In Armagh Tyrone, an organisation to network, build skills and help women in business in the Armagh & Tyrone area achieve their goals.

As healthcare providers, we understand the importance of breast cancer awareness and early detection. By supporting events like “Play in Pink,” we aim to contribute to the vital work of charities like Pretty n Pink, which offers support to those affected by breast cancer in Northern Ireland.
Dr. Vernon expressed her admiration for the event, stating, “It’s fantastic to be part of such a wonderful initiative. The work done by Pretty in Pink is crucial, and we’re proud to support their efforts through this fun and meaningful event.”
At Blackwater Private Clinic, we believe in going beyond medical care to actively engage in community health initiatives. We look forward to continuing our support for important causes like breast cancer awareness and encourage our patients and community members to get involved in future events.
Remember, regular check-ups and screenings are vital for early detection of breast cancer.
