At Blackwater Private Clinic, we offer Intrauterine Coil device (IUD) insertion.

The IUD is a small T – shaped plastic and copper device placed in the womb and be used for multiple conditions:

  • Menorrhagia (Heavy periods)
  • Contraception (5 – 10 Years effectiveness)
  • Menopause (Mirena coil) 

Copper IUD Coil can provide up to 10 years contraception, completely hormone free!.

IUD’s include Mirena, Kyleena and Copper (Hormone free) coils.

    In limited circumstances, your GP may be able to provide you with an NHS prescription for your coil. Please allow your practice at least 10 days to arrange this, if they are able to accommodate this request.
