Full Medical Consultation & Health Review

A comprehensive physical examination, including abdominal examination, assessment of any lumps or lesions, and a general clinical review of your overall physical health, is carried out professionally in a private, confidential setting.

Blood Pressure Check

A full blood pressure assessment to identify hypertension, one of the most common and most underdiagnosed conditions in men, and a leading contributor to heart attack and stroke if left untreated.

PSA Testing & Prostate Cancer Screening

Your Well Man MOT goes beyond identifying current issues. The Well Man MOT includes a full medical consultation and health history review, comprehensive physical examination, blood pressure check, PSA and prostate cancer screening, a full blood testing panel covering cholesterol, blood glucose, liver and kidney function, thyroid, and testosterone, and a personalised preventative medicine plan with results reviewed in full by your doctor.

A PSA test is a simple blood test that measures the level of Prostate-Specific Antigen in your blood. Elevated levels can indicate prostate cancer, benign prostate enlargement, or inflammation. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men and often has no symptoms in its early stages. PSA screening as part of your Well Man MOT enables early detection, when treatment is most effective.

No, and in fact, the most valuable reason to book is precisely when you have no symptoms. The conditions the Well Man MOT screens for most commonly, high blood pressure, elevated PSA, abnormal cholesterol, and early diabetes markers, rarely cause noticeable symptoms until they are significantly advanced. Proactive screening is where the real health benefit lies.

Most men benefit from a comprehensive health check annually, though frequency may increase with age or if any markers require monitoring. Your doctor will advise on the most appropriate review schedule for your individual health profile at your consultation.

Rather than waiting for a condition to develop, your doctor actively identifies your personal risk factors, based on your age, weight, blood pressure, family history, and lifestyle, and provides a targeted plan to reduce those risks. This might include lifestyle guidance, further testing, medication review, or scheduled follow-up monitoring.

There is no wrong age to start proactively monitoring your health, but most doctors recommend regular Well Man checks from age 40 onwards, and earlier if you have a family history of cardiovascular disease, prostate cancer, diabetes, or other conditions with a hereditary risk. Contact our team and we will advise on the most appropriate package for your age and health profile.

You do not need to see a doctor when something is already wrong.

Since the conditions most likely to seriously affect your health, high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol, early prostate changes, and type 2 diabetes rarely announce themselves with obvious symptoms.
